What is spiritual direction?
Spiritual direction is a space of prayerful, listening conversation for us to notice and nurture how God is present in your daily life and how God is inviting you to respond.
Traditionally, you meet with your spiritual director for one hour, once a month.

Who is spiritual direction for?
Spiritual direction is for anyone desiring to grow in their awareness of God, deepen their experience of prayer or engage their spiritual formation.
People often find journeying with a spiritual director helpful for these reasons.

What does spiritual direction look like?
In most cases, you meet with you spiritual director in-person or online. You may spend some time in prayer and silence. Then, your spiritual director will listen and ask questions to help you notice, discern and respond to what God’s doing in your life.
Spiritual direction may also look like a retreat taken in everyday life. The most common form is called the Spiritual Exercises.

How do I get started?
Start by simply having an informal conversation with a spiritual director. Ask questions, and see if they feel like a good fit or can make any referrals.
Spiritual directors come from different backgrounds and have different styles. What’s important is finding someone you feel comfortable sharing the journey with.
